The school-based health centers for Star City School District are a convenient choice for families seeking medical, behavioral health and dental care for children during school hours. Every student and staff member will have access to high-quality and compassionate medical, behavioral health, and dental services.

At Mainline Health School-Based Clinics we offer all services to the entire school district. Although each clinic offers different services, students and staff have access to every service.

Primary Care

Primary care services at Mainline Health includes comprehensive, accessible, and patient-centered care. These services include preventive care, such as routine check-ups, screenings, vaccinations, and health education and counseling. They also encompass the diagnosis and treatment of acute illnesses, chronic disease management, and minor procedures. Additionally, primary care involves coordination of care through referrals to specialists, follow-up care, and integration with other healthcare services.

Behavioral Health

Mainline Health's school-based behavioral health services provide students with convenient access to high-quality mental health care in a familiar and supportive environment. As part of an ongoing transition, Mainline Health is now overseeing care for students and patients who were previously receiving services through Southeast Arkansas Behavioral Health. Patients will continue to see the same trusted provider while benefiting from Mainline Health's comprehensive network of healthcare services.

Our behavioral health program offers counseling, psychological assessments, crisis intervention, and individual and group therapy to help address concerns such as anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, and social-emotional well-being. By delivering care where students spend much of their day, we help reduce barriers to treatment, support academic success, improve attendance, and promote overall wellness.

To continue receiving behavioral health services through Mainline Health, parents or patients simply need to complete the Consent Form, which includes consent for behavioral health services. This helps ensure seamless access to care with no interruption in services.

Through ongoing collaboration with families, school personnel, and healthcare professionals, Mainline Health remains committed to providing compassionate, accessible, and effective behavioral health care that helps students thrive both in and out of the classroom.

Dental

Dental care services include routine dental check-ups, cleanings, fluoride treatments, sealants, and screenings for cavities and other oral health issues. We also offer dental education to promote good oral hygiene practices among students. By integrating dental care into schools, our program aims to improve overall oral health, prevent dental diseases, and reduce absenteeism due to dental problems.
